Final results of the Children in Need Pair
We are really delighted to report that this year's Children in Need event reaised £66,874.56 - a truly stupendous resut. Thank you so much to all who took part and make it such a great success. That's a total of £ 600,189.26 raised to date.
Andrew Robson
How lovely to have some really good news - Andrew Robson (The Andrew Robson Bridge Club) has been awarded the OBE in the Queen's New Year Honour List in recognition of his work in bridge and for charity. We are absolutely delighted for him, and he really deserves it.
Jimmy Ortiz-Patiño
Mark and I are both deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jimmy Ortiz-Patiño ... Jimmy was President of the World Bridge Federation for many years and his influence on the game will be part of bridge forever. There will, we know, be many obituaries written, many words spken about this great man. But for now, we just want to say - we will miss you Jimmy.

The 2013 European Open Teams Championship
A 3rd information letter has been released, together with a booklet describing details of the event. Note that some of the schedules have been changed (notably the Women's and Senior Teams)

It has been announced that the European Open Teams Championships will be held at the Kursaal Oostende (Sea Promenade), Ostend, Belgium from 15 - 29 June 2013. The first information letter has now been sent to the NBOs and is published here - just click to download it.
