The HIWCBA IBM Cup

The IBM Cup, one of the HIWCBA Charity Events will be held in the week of February 12-16th. Once again we are supporting the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. HIWCBA will make a charge of £2/player (in addition to any club table money), with all profits going to the Air Ambulance.

The hands have been randomly dealt, and a full commentary has been prepared by Julian Pottage. This will be available to participants at the end of the event.

The same hands will be played in all the heats. Various clubs will hold heats throughout the week, including Petersfield, Hayling Island, Winchester and Basingstoke.

Obviously players may only play in one heat. Maybe you would like to find out if and when your local club is running a heat.

To run a heat all you need to do is be able to get together three full tables and play 21 boards in one session sometime during that week. Access to dealing machine and computer scoring would be useful, but we may be able to help.
